Sharathon

Twelve-year-old Alexis told her mom she wanted to give $4 out of her piggy bank to help during Sharathon 2010. When she did, our Carol Davis went on-air and encouraged people to make a gift in honor of Alexis, to show her just what God could do with $4. Before the afternoon was done, her $4 turned into $26,000.
Alexis gave what she had, to make a difference. God multiplied it, to reach thousands more. He can do the same with yours. Help us reach people via radio who need hope.
“I received my big yellow envelope in the mail a few weeks before Sharathon and I just tossed it, saying I can’t give. I felt the Lord say, ‘You can give $100, ’ but I didn’t act. During Sharathon I heard Alexis give her $4. I picked up the phone to call home with an area code of 704, but … I dialed 800. At this point I yielded to the Holy Spirit, called in, and pledged the $100 on behalf of Alexis’ $4.” —Amy

“I love to hear Christian music. The messages are inspiring, uplifting, and just plain heartwarming. I’ve had breast cancer, my daughter has gone through a divorce, my son has had major issues, we have been retired from the military—and through it all God has used the words to many songs to help me ‘walk through the fire.’”—Wanda |
“I have supported 106.9 the Light for years, and it has been the best investment I have ever made. This last year, there were nights I know I wouldn’t have made it without playing the radio all night as I prayed. Through my breaking heart, some mornings I wouldn’t have crawled out of bed if I hadn’t had this station on and heard the encouragement that came my way. I need what you do. God knows how I need what 106.9 the Light provides.” —Karen |
“I work for the Department of Corrections, and as I was traveling with an inmate recently, he said he had a request to listen to the morning show. He said as he wakes up, he listens to them, and they really make a difference in how he starts his day. I give glory to God and just want to let you know that the work you do is reaching out into a lot of places.”—Anonymous from comment line |
