MercyMe in Concert

MercyMe AND Jamie Grace are coming to Shelby, NC!!!

The concert will be at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds on Sunday, August 12. Start time is set for 6pm with doors opening at 5pm.

Seating will be on the lawn of the fairgrounds so you’re welcome to bring your own chairs and blankets to enjoy this time with your family.

MercyMe is an American Christian rock bank founded in Greenville, Texas. The band formed in 1994 and released six independent albums prior to signing with INO Records in 2001.

The group first gained mainstream recognition with the crossover single, “I Can Only Imagine,” which elevated their debut album, “Almost There,” to double platinum certification. Since then, the group has released six additional studio albums (four of which have been certified gold) and a greatest hits album titled “10.” The group also has had 13 consecutive Top Five singles on the Billboard Christian Songs chart, with seven of them reaching No. 1. MercyMe has won eight Dove Awards and has had numerous Grammy Award nominations.

Jamie Grace, born Jamie Grace Hopper, is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter who plays the guitar, drums, piano and ukulele. A native of Atlanta, Jamie is a college student studying children’s ministry. Jamie says she grew up listening to multiple genres of music and artists that ranged from Mahalia Jackson to Johnny Cash and from Gaither Vocal Band to dcTalk.

Her YouTube videos caught the attention of multiple Grammy winner tobyMac, who signed her to his Goatee Records and released her debut single “Hold Me” in 2011. The song reached No. 1 on Contemporary Hit Radio. Jamie has appeared as part of Women of Faith’s popular Revolve Tour. Despite being diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome, Jamie is a vivacious young woman with a contagious joy and a talent for unique expression through music.

Jamie was nominated for a 2012 Grammy for her song, “Hold Me,” which she sang with tobyMac.
